What a strange time we are living in! Those of us in the 70+ category watch our neighbours in envy when we see them out walking and enjoying our lovely surroundings. By the time we are all eventually released, we will have quite a lot of catching up to do. In the meantime, we just hope that none of us becomes a victim of Covid-19.
Our National Tidy Towns Competition submission has also been delayed till April 19th, but that is likely to be put back even further. In past years, we would already be working on our submission. We expect the DLRCC Tidy Districts deadline for entries still set for Friday, May 29th., also to be postponed.
Ann Perry and the team are working hard as usual on producing our monthly DCC Newsletter and the next one will only be available on line. Hopefully, we will get back to hard copies again soon. Thank you Ann for all the great work.
In the meantime, if you are out and about, do send us some photos of anything of note or updates on Dalkey planting, Parks, etc., so that we can all share and keep in contact. It has been reported that tissues / litter are more visible than usual in the Parks. Please be extra careful not to be contaminated unless properly gloved, etc.
if you are aware of any neighbours who need assistance, please let
us know and we will do what we can to help.
